Friends as Models
One of the best ways to create your portfolio is to get some of your friends (easy on the eye) to model for you. These two brothers above make up a chunk of my portfolio and are fun to photograph because 1. They are used to being in front of the camera and 2. Love to be photographed. I promise you they are very humble and down-to-earth. One of them happens to be my Pastor and he has a heart of gold. So, if you want to get going on building that portfolio here are a few things to consider:
Call up some of your people to take pictures for you
Choose a couple of locations or take pictures at a studio if you have access to one
Have fun! These are your friends or even family so keep the atmosphere light and go with the flow
Thank them by providing them their pictures for free because they took some time out of their schedule to help you build your portfolio
Keep shooting and grinding.
Peace,
Jay
